Job Summary The Staff Scientist in the Reisman Lab will design and synthesize bifunctional molecules for targeted therapeutic delivery across the blood-brain barrier. These molecules combine a receptor-binding motif, modular linkers, and conjugation handles for attachment to therapeutic cargos. Efforts will focus on structure-activity relationship studies, linker diversification, and the development of new architectures to expand platform capabilities. Essential Job Duties Design and synthesis of small molecules Characterization and Quality Control Use NMR, LC/MS, and HPLC to characterize intermediates and final compounds. Ensure purity, identity, and stability of synthesized molecules. Prepare reports and presentations summarizing synthetic progress, challenges, and proposed solutions. Participate in regular project update meetings. Basic Qualifications Ph.D. in Chemistry. Post Ph.D. experience in an academic setting. Understanding of functional group compatibility and linker design. Experience with designing and synthesizing small molecules for biological targets. Required Documents Resume. Hiring Range $60,000 - $82,500 Per Year The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.
