Job Summary

The candidate will directly supervise technicians conducting the in vitro binding screen. He/she will also do experimental work to design the approaches for both the in vitro and functional screens.

This is an Organizational Critical position. In the event of an emergency on campus, an employee designated as organizational critical is expected to report to Campus as soon as possible to assist in division/department response and recovery efforts.

Essential Job Duties
  • Conduct experiments to design protocols for in vitro binding screen. (30%)
  • Supervise technicians running the various aspects of the screen. (20%)
  • Design automation workflows for in vitro screen. (20%)
  • Conduct experiments to design protocols for functional screens in cultured cells. (30%)
Basic Qualifications
  • PhD in molecular biology.
  • 8-10 years of relevant work experience
  • Previous experience working in large-scale protein expression facility.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Expertise in recombinant DNA research.
  • Expertise in protein expression in E. coli and mammalian cells.
  • Expertise with eukaryotic cell culture.

Hiring Range

$71,000 - $105,500 Per Year

The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.
