SUMMARY DESCRIPTION: The Supply Chain Analyst is a vital contributor to the planning and execution of sourcing initiatives, offering essential analytical support to drive informed decision-making across the team. By collecting, interpreting, and presenting data, the analyst helps optimize the supply chain network through data-driven strategies that enhance team performance and reduce costs within assigned categories-ultimately supporting the overall success of the procurement function. This role also involves researching market trends, identifying optimal pricing opportunities, and supporting supplier negotiations to secure the best possible value for the organization. In addition, the analyst will play a key role in advancing sustainability efforts by providing reporting and insights aligned with the company's long-term business objectives. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist the Category Leads in strategic sourcing initiatives by analyzing relevant spend data and identifying both incumbent and potential new suppliers during the RFP process. Contribute to the development of benchmarking analyses by consolidating large datasets from multiple sources and preparing executive-level presentations for senior management.
- Create and utilize in-depth analytical tools (Excel, Power BI, Tableau) to facilitate issue resolution, decision-making, execution oversight, and monitoring of market trends.
- Generate and manage monthly reports containing key information required by internal stakeholders.
- Design and implement methods for gathering and managing supply chain data effectively to support continuous improvement and standardization.
- Review and analyze data to pinpoint areas of waste in the supply chain process and develop strategies for improvement.
- Maintain professional and amicable relationships with internal/external stakeholders while promoting company initiatives and values.
- Spearhead the campaign for evaluating supplier performance.
- Perform ad-hoc research and analysis, offering expertise to support Procurement in making data-driven decisions.
- Support and influence business and financial planning processes, leveraging lean concepts and Six Sigma tools to develop and effectively implement advanced supply chain solutions, processes, and systems improvements.
- Continuously seek to enhance all aspects of the supply chain department by reviewing current methodologies and processes.
EDUCATION Required: Bachelor's degree in finance, supply chain, statistics or mathematics. EXPERIENCE Skill Required:
- Conduct business with the highest degree of ethical standards.
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation, verbal and written communication skills.
- Microsoft Office tools (Advanced Excel Level) - Essential for data cleaning, analysis, pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and other complex formulas.
- Experience in Power BI and Tableau - For creating interactive dashboards and visualizing supply chain metrics and KPIs.
- ERP systems knowledge (Oracle experience preferred).
- 1-5 years of related experience (Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain).
- Demonstrate credibility, competence, and the ability to influence.
- Self-motivated and curious, with a willingness and strong desire to learn.
- Comprehensive understanding of all key aspects of supply chain processes.
- Results-oriented individual with strong analytical skills who is able to transform data into actionable insights to facilitate the decision-making process.
- Outstanding ability to conceptualize large-scale projects and anticipate challenges and needs that must be addressed.
