KEMET, a YAGEO Group company, is seeking a Procurement Manager at our Simpsonville, SC location. This is an onsite role. This position will oversee all procurement operations at the Simpsonville location. By integrating supply chain resources, optimizing procurement processes, and enhancing cross-functional communication, this position aims to continuously improve procurement efficiency and service quality, ultimately supporting corporate growth and operational goals.

Job Description:




1. Procurement Management & Factory Support

* Responsible for the factory's procurement operations, ensuring stable material supply for production and operations.
* Plan procurement strategies based on factory needs, ensuring materials meet cost-effectiveness, quality, and lead time requirements.
* Oversee procurement procedures to ensure compliance with internal controls and quality systems.
* Support factory/site (Ta & Ceramic) operations, including direct material and equipment procurement needs.
* Support factory operations related to IDM and Services.

2. Cross-Regional and Cross-BU Collaboration

* Work closely with the Taipei HQ, overseas plants, and cross-BU international procurement teams to align project execution and strategic goals.
* Execute top-down directives, driving cross-regional procurement strategies and resource integration to enhance supply chain synergy.
* Maintain strong relationships with internal departments and external suppliers to optimize procurement processes and supply chain management.
* Provide procurement support for cross-functional units

3. Supply Chain and Supplier Management

* Develop, select, and evaluate key suppliers to ensure stability and competitiveness.
* Monitor supplier performance to meet quality, cost, and delivery standards, and implement improvement plans as needed.
* Assess market trends, raw material price fluctuations, and supply chain risks, and formulate response strategies.

4. KPI Management and Achievement

* Set and monitor KPIs for the procurement team to align with company operational strategies.
* Continuously optimize procurement processes and cost management through data analysis and performance reviews.
* Regularly report KPI status to management and propose improvement plans.

5. Team Management and Talent Development

* Build and develop the procurement team by providing timely guidance and training to enhance professionalism and competitiveness.
* Optimize procurement processes to improve team efficiency and decision quality, aligning strategies with corporate goals.
* Promote digitalization and standardization in procurement processes to improve transparency and management efficiency.

6. Cost Control and Strategic Planning

* Analyze procurement cost structures and execute cost optimization strategies to enhance effectiveness.
* Participate in global procurement strategy planning to ensure consistency between regional and global strategies.
* Provide data-driven procurement recommendations to support company operations and development objectives.

Qualifications:



  • Bachelor Degree in related field (Engineering degree a plus)
  • 10+ years of procurement experience in medium / large global enterprise.
  • Purchasing / Supply Chain related field experience
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Demonstrated systems skills
  • Experience in the electronic industry is a plus
  • Procurement and Supply Chain Certifications a plus (CPSM, CSCP, CPP)
  • PMP certification (Project Management Professional) a plus
