About the Team

You will be a key member of the WSI Tech Store Product Management team that is responsible for continuous improvement of our retail customer experience by focusing on removing friction points for our internal and external customers by delivering a highly satisfying experience. You'll be working with amazing peers, cutting edge technologies and deep resources to help push the boundaries of what is possible as we drive for success across our products, the business and our teams.

About the Role

Williams-Sonoma, Inc. is in the business of enhancing the quality of our customers' lives at home. This critical Lead Product Manager role will be focused on driving continuous improvement for our store operational processes and solutions working across all our brands and geographies. You'll be working on projects of diverse scope and complexity, related to improving every aspect of the customer experience when they engage with our retail channel across the WSI family of brands. The right candidate will have deep experience with retail processes and systems as well as associated retail and ecommerce Product Management background.

Responsibilities

* Help define the product roadmap through business partnership and assessing opportunities using a hypothesis-driven approach focused on measurable, high impact outcomes.

* Research market and industry trends and perform competitor product analysis.

* Clearly identify and measure KPIs that not only help us decide what to do, but that are needle-moving metrics for the business that can be measured before, during, and after they are live in production. Develop measurement strategies to drive ongoing optimization.

* Lead the definition, prioritization, and scoping of initiatives related to our overall retail experience including retail operations, in-store design and omni channel activities.

* Serves as a liaison between the business community and the Technology organization to provide product and user experience solutions to meet the business needs. Collaborate with Technology partners to drive execution and iterative delivery of initiatives.

* Support cross-functional teams by being the subject matter expert, able to answer questions, manage exploration activities and make clear recommendations.

* Provide a clear recommendation on priorities and progress against a product roadmap with business partners and senior Technology leadership.

Criteria

* Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience.

* 8+ years of related Product Management experience.

* Experience with related store operations, ecommerce and order management processes.

* Experience in organizing, planning, and executing large-scale projects from vision, requirements gathering, solutioning, and all steps of implementation (UAT, Training, hyper care).

* Experience with specific retail operational applications including work force management (WFM) and point of sale (POS).

* Proficient with core Product tools including JIRA and Confluence.

* You have a proven ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, manage difficult tradeoffs, and evaluate new ideas with partners across the organization.

* Experience in a large retail technology business preferred. Consulting background is desirable.

* Experience across multiple software delivery models including waterfall, agile, scrum, and lean

* Ideal to have experience in multi-channel retail (not a must).

* Strong interpersonal, business communication and negotiation skills with an ability to lead and influence others.

* This role requires being onsite in the San Francisco office Monday through Thursday and Friday as optional in the office

The expected starting pay range for this position is $135,000-$165,000. Applicable pay ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. In addition to competitive pay, compensation may include a variety of other components like benefits, paid time off, merit, and bonus opportunities.
