A BRIEF OVERVIEW The Data Architect is responsible for designing, optimizing, and governing the enterprise data architecture to ensure it meets current and future business needs. This role serves as the technical authority over data pipeline performance, system integration, data quality frameworks, and the transition to modern cloud-based platforms. The Data Architect collaborates with engineering, analytics, and business teams to ensure data systems are scalable, reliable, and aligned with business priorities-particularly during the transition from legacy systems to Azure-based infrastructure.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Stabilize and optimize existing data pipelines and architecture.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and enhance performance of existing data systems to ensure uninterrupted delivery of high-quality data to stakeholders.
- Lead the migration and optimization of enterprise data platforms.
- Drive the transition from Talend to Azure Data Factory (ADF) and complete the buildout of the Global Enterprise Analytical Repository (GEAR), ensuring architectural best practices and minimal disruption.
- Develop and implement enterprise data governance and monitoring frameworks.
- Establish proactive data quality controls, centralized monitoring, and alerting systems to improve system resilience and trust in data.
- Design scalable, secure, and efficient data models and integration frameworks.
- Architect robust data solutions, with a focus on migrating BI-related data pipelines to Azure Data Factory, to support analytics, reporting, and operational workflows.
- Act as a strategic partner and subject matter expert.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to translate business requirements into technical specifications and ensure alignment between data architecture and organizational goals.
EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (Required)
- Master Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (Preferred)
EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
- 7+ Years of experience in data engineering, data architecture, or enterprise data systems (Required)
- Experience with ETL tools and data integration platforms (e.g., Talend, Azure Data Factory) (Required)
- Experience with SQL and data modeling in both OLTP and OLAP environments (Required)
- Experience designing and deploying solutions in cloud environments (Required)
- Experience with enterprise data warehouse transitions and legacy system decommissioning (Preferred)
- Experience with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, and other Microsoft Analytic products) and their integration with data platforms (Preferred)
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
- Developing Microsoft Azure Solutions - Microsoft Corporation (MS) (Preferred)
