FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Location: Remote or Other Pay Range: $16-$20/hour POSITION SUMMARY The goals of the FLEX and YES Abroad alumni programs are to promote increased understanding; foster lasting personal and professional ties; advance mutual understanding, leadership skills, and understanding of civil society during the exchange experience and beyond; and enhance understanding of other countries and cultures among American host communities and improve realistic understanding of American values in host and alumni communities abroad. The Alumni Coordinator supports these goals as the primary connection between American Councils and the alumni community. The position is highly administrative and includes maintaining up-to-date records of alumni data; regularly sharing opportunities with and creating opportunities for alumni; creating content for the FLEX and YES Abroad alumni components of digital platforms; recruiting, training, and supporting alumni Area Representatives in organizing activities in their home communities that address the goals of the alumni program; managing an alumni activities budget; and gathering and reporting information on alumni activities and successes. The Alumni Coordinator is supervised by the FLEX and YES Abroad Program Manager. The successful candidate must fit the following description: * Successfully completed in the FLEX or YES Abroad program; CONDITIONS AND BENEFITS * Flexible part-time position; 10-15 hours per week at the American Councils office in Washington, DC or remotely if not within the Washington, DC area.
