JOB TITLE: Scheduler

LOCATION: Buffalo, NY

starting pay is $22.00/hr. and up, based on experience!

JOB SUMMARY

The Scheduler is responsible for the scheduling of regular and overtime shifts for full and part-time employees in accordance with AMR Policy and applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement(s). The position also monitors and edits timekeeping records for all non-exempt employees, processes hours worked, and, where necessary, provides Payroll with required reports and hours worked in a timely and accurate manner.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES

  • Oversight over all daily, weekly, and monthly schedules.
  • Successfully identifies solutions that balance the needs of the employee with the demands of the operation.
  • Creates shifts and assignments where needed, and modifies daily schedule as needed, which includes notifying and communicating with employees re shift assignments, trade approvals and time off requests
  • Ensures satisfactory reconciliation and synchronization of scheduling information in the timekeeping system.
  • Reviews and verifies employee hours for accuracy. Assists in recording and maintaining employee attendance records/files and payroll functions.
  • Prepares and compiles various periodic reports and documents for review and analysis. These may include weekly payroll stats, personnel stats, absence reports, overtime tracking and other related reports.
  • Ensures compliance with all location-specific operating procedures, collective bargaining agreements, union contracts, etc.
  • Maintains accurate schedules for time off, shift trades/giveaways, and float assignments.
  • Schedules Public Relations demonstrations, standbys, and special event staffing.
  • Promptly and courteously responds to inquiries from field and leadership personnel.
  • Adheres to all company policies and procedures.
  • Adherence to and compliance with information systems security is everyone's responsibility. It is the responsibility of every computer user to: Know and follow Information Systems security policies and procedures. Attend Information Systems security training, when offered. Report information systems security problems.

  • Performs other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience:

  • Working knowledge and experience in Scheduling/Staffing preferred
  • Experience in performing administrative and clerical duties

Training:

  • Computer skills to ensure proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Outlook

Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Skills:

  • Ability to work under time restraints
  • Ability to perform mathematical and statistical calculations
  • Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
