Job Description

Albemarle is hiring for a Supply Chain Analytics Specialist to support supply chain operations in the region utilizing best in class service level for internal/external customers, and support open order management in the SAP S/4 and Transportation Management -TM Module. This position is hybrid and located in Charlotte, NC.

This position also supports daily regional logistics activities (as it relates to escalation and resolution of service issues) involving the storage and transport of non-hazardous and hazardous package and bulk products via all available modes in support of Albemarle's customers and businesses. The goal of the Supply Chain Analytics Specialist is to assure logistics standards are maintained and service integrity is preserved. This logistics role reports to the NA Operations Manager and is governed by policies and frameworks established by Albemarle.

What You Will Do
  • Centralized Transportation Planning for all shipping locations all modes in the assigned region Event Management in the TM (proactive intervention/management of jeopardy orders)
  • Compilation of Logistics Service Providers
  • Performance Metrics
  • Management of daily Booked/Shipped orders through our TM system, providing proof of delivery (POD or proof of incoterms)
  • Support TM Master Data entry and the management of master data in SAP
  • Freight and Logistics Settlement issue and exception resolution
  • Support Order-to-Cash (OTC - Customer Service) and Site Logistics to resolve issues with SAP TM and general open order management issues related to Logistics service failures in the EM TM module.
  • Consult with operations and OTC on better operational procedures to improve overall efficiency, service and cost
  • Strong communication and customer focus skills are required to develop partnerships with internal and external customers and suppliers to develop partnerships with internal and external customers and suppliers and to successfully work and communicate with various Departments with strong problem-solving skills to identify and resolve SAP discrepancies and issues.
  • Plan shipments to our customers using SAP Platform
  • Build relationships with transportation carriers to ensure a high level of service to customers
  • Provide prompt, professional communication with customers, and lead to joint problem-solving
  • Applying the judgement, responsibility, initiative, economic and critical thinking skills, and sense of urgency necessary to generate the greatest contribution
  • Demonstrate teamwork skills, ability to multi-task, take initiative and ask questions for a deeper understanding of assigned responsibilities
  • Root cause and corrective action mindset
  • Ensure all businesses and customers are proactively and fully informed of cargo status by keeping up to date in the systems and supplying appropriate information

What You Bring Required:
  • Experience supporting Supply Chain Operations and Logistics conducting a wide variety of TM (Transportation Management) transactions
  • Logistics or Freight Forwarding experience
  • Minimum of 1 year experience with SAP or a similar ERP system, TM or TMS system
  • Experience in data entry and data management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Data driven, addresses partner and customer needs
  • Good time management skills
  • Strong sense of urgency and follow through
  • Proficient user of MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Ability to participate in cross-functional, team-oriented environment
  • Ability to interact with multiple levels of leadership internally and externally
  • Ability to operate in a global complex manufacturing environment
  • Ability to interact with other cultures
Preferred:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred but not required
  • OTC (Order To Cash) or Customer Service Experience is a plus
