Job Title: Forge Production Team Leader

Report To: Forge Production Manager

Location: Forge Plant

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Team Leader oversees, monitors, and coordinates production team activities, giving importance to individual members and overall team's achievement of established goals. Ensures teams goal is aligned with and representative of the overall company's directive. Acts as a liaison between team members and the rest of the organization. Must be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Typically reports to a manager or supervisor and assumes supervisory duties in their absence. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Maintain time and production records
  • Audit DPR sheets gather information and assess where there are nonconformities
  • Read standards / confirm they are correct and up to date
  • Perform daily audits to verify production records conform to requirements
  • Auditing CAR countermeasures and making sure they are being followed with audits
  • Updating and maintaining and creating Work Instructions
  • Creating and maintaining FCD documents
  • Gauge calibration and validity audits
  • Assist with investigating quality issues (5-Why)
  • Check the set-up documentation accuracy
  • Assigned work area will be cleaned and kept neat and orderly during every workday
  • Will recognize and comply with all safety rules
  • Will work overtime as requested by supervisor or scheduled
  • Any other duties assigned by manager

Requirements

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EDUCATION, AND ABILITIES:




  • Previous experience with supervision, set-up or training preferred
  • 2-5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with Excel, Power Point
  • Experience with gauging instruments
  • Excellent verbal & written communications skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at once
  • Good problem solving skills
  • Knowledge of ISO016949 standards
  • Lotus notes experience
  • Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations
  • High School Diploma
