General Summary of Position:

Granite Telecommunications is seeking a strategic and experienced Director of Facilities to lead the planning, development, and management of our facilities across multiple locations nationwide. This senior leadership role is responsible for ensuring operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and a safe, efficient, and high-performing work environment across all Granite properties.

Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Provide strategic leadership and oversight for all facilities operations across multiple states, including maintenance, safety, security, and space planning.
  • Develop and execute long-term facilities strategies aligned with company growth and operational goals.
  • Lead and mentor a team of facilities managers, maintenance staff, and external contractors.
  • Oversee capital improvement projects, renovations, and new site development from planning through execution.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local building codes, environmental regulations, and safety standards.
  • Manage multi-million-dollar facilities budgets, including forecasting, cost control, and vendor negotiations.
  • Implement and monitor preventive maintenance programs and sustainability initiatives.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with executive leadership on all facilities-related matters.
  • Conduct regular site visits to ensure consistency in standards, performance, and employee experience across all locations.
  • Lead emergency preparedness planning and response for all facilities.


Required Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field (master's preferred).
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in facilities management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role overseeing multiple locations.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale facilities operations and capital projects.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems, safety regulations, and sustainability practices.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in facilities management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willingness to travel regularly to support and inspect remote sites.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Certified Facility Manager (CFM)
  • Facilities Management Professional (FMP)
  • OSHA Certification
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) a plus
