Position Summary
*****************Work Study Preferred but Not Required********************** The Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences is a multi-division department within the UNM School of Medicine. We provide excellent, innovative education to residents, medical students, and health professionals; the highest quality mental health care to the citizens of New Mexico; and pursue outstanding multidisciplinary research that helps solve important health problems.
We are seeking a student program assistant who will support our administrative team.
Under direct supervision, this position will assist with:
-Project Assistance: aid in the execution of a variety of projects requiring consistent and effective communication, organization, resourcefulness, and diligence. -Reception: provide front desk reception, greet, and direct visitors, answer phones, take messages, sort and distribute mail, relay administrative concerns and communications, and miscellaneous clerical duties. -Data entry: assist with data entry across multiple projects including medical documentation support, maintain databases, perform data quality checks, and filing. -Documentation: draft documents and presentations, assist with reporting, create flyers, and invitations. Assist with copy orders, document review, and formatting.
This position requires proficiency in Microsoft applications, honoring confidentiality, attention to detail, and reliability. We are looking for someone who is thoughtful and responsive to requests, resourceful, flexible and patient and follows through. Excellent administrative and organizational skills as well as great customer service skills are a must. We are looking for a student to begin working by the end of June.

- Intermediate skills in Excel, Outlook, and all other Microsoft Suite applications
- Demonstrated experience with Smartsheet and Zoom
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Understanding of requirements for working in a professional environment
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude
- Ability to multitask
