Job Title: Data Analyst II

Location: Waukegan, IL (Hybrid)

Duration: 6 months (chance to extend)


Summary:

The Business/Data Analyst (Analyst) is a key contributor of the Data Analytics team. The analyst synthesizes and leverages datasets based on applied modeling and analysis of data sources with process knowledge of all the key processes in Complete Access, particularly around data modeling, curation and analysis and its interdependencies. The Analyst presents results to management and business partners to support high-impact business value decisions. Engages with the business and IT on (data) governance to make sure that Data and Business Processes are aligned, with high-performance and agile processes as result. Closely collaborates and builds effective relationships with team and business partners to understand the data and related improvement needs of the business. Continuously searches for innovative ways to drive awareness on data driven opportunities and will be recognized as a key member in the analytics/data science area within the business unit.

Responsibilities



  • Passionate and maintains pragmatic approach to all data conclusions and solutions in large datasets
  • Effectively analyzes diverse sources of data to achieve targeted outcome
  • Apply modeling concepts to solve medium-complex business questions
  • Support the development of an "analytical capability" and "big data" concepts to become the business expert in these areas
  • Closely collaborates with IT and business partners to set priorities and provides support on Business Data Management (Governance)
  • Translates large data sets, analysis and complex models in usable, effective and presentable data to key stakeholders to drive business improvement opportunities
  • Effectively participate in cross-functional project teams
  • Participate in production of innovative analytic solutions that drive existing and changing business processes and business strategies


Qualifications:



  • List required and preferred qualifications (up to 10). Include education, skills and experience.
  • Bachelor's level required (Master level preferred) preferably in applied mathematics; Business Research; Operational research or Data Analytics
  • Understanding of statistical and predictive modeling concepts
  • Comfortable with complex and big data sets, good data requirements gathering documentation and interpretation skills are a must
  • 2-3 years' work experience in a similar environment is preferred
  • Excellent helicopter view as well as deep dive analytical skills are required
  • Strong cross functional collaboration with users and communication, presentation skills is essential
  • Working knowledge of statistical analysis environments and BI tools and data mining frameworks. Specifically, Excel, PowerBI and Tableau.
  • Excellent written and oral English communication skills are required
  • Experience Level = 3-5 Years.


What are the top 3-5 skills requirements should this person have?



  • Strong data analytics and decision support skills - can build models, experience with data visualization and storytelling to business, strong requirements gathering and documentation skills
  • Familiarity with Patient Assistant Programs in Pharma (Industry experience)
  • Experience with Salesforce, ScriptsMed and Five9 (platforms) - at least data structures within Salesforce and ScriptsMed
  • Good communication (Verbal and written skills),
  • Strong Excel, Power BI and/or Tableau


What is a nice to have (but not required) regarding skills, requirements, experience,

education, or certification?



  • Undergrad would be the min experience.
  • Overqualified - someone with 10 years experience.


What type of environment is this person working in?



  • Hybrid 3 days onsite, 2 offsite. Cubicle setting.


Work Schedule (Define days,# of hours)/ Is Overtime offered or required? If yes, how many hours, what impact to scheduled working hours?



  • 8:30-4:30 or 5pm. With flexibility to business needs. No OT


Years of experience/education and/or certifcations required:



  • 3-5 previous pharma exp.
