Your Role as Development Coordinator We're seeking a highly organized, detailed-oriented, and committed Development Coordinator who will function as a key member of the Wisconsin external relations team, working closely with the Grants Specialist, Marketing and Communications Coordinator, Senior Director of Development, and Executive Director to achieve annual revenue goals. This role will focus primarily on supporting College Possible's individual giving, but will also support other fundraising activities on the external relations team. This role will manage all fundraising operations including database management, gift processing, direct mail campaigns, and event support. This role will also have the opportunity to build relationships with donors and manage campaigns. The successful candidate has a mind for data, exceptional customer service skills, and is detail-oriented and highly organized. This role will also collaborate with the Program Director to support data integrity and integration between impact and external relations. Primary data analysis functions will ensure that our site's data remains up-to-date and accessible, improving strategic decision-making for leadership, strengthening our ability to communicate impact to donors and external partners, and aligning our local goals with national initiatives. - Annual Campaigns: Lead on all direct mail and annual fundraising campaign activities. Preparation and execution of all mailings, including the end-of-year campaign and annual impact report. Support and execute direct mail campaigns. Create mailing lists in partnership with the national team, and manage printing, production, and distribution. Through phone calls, emails, and in-person connections, regularly communicate with donors about the impact of their support. With the support of the Senior Director of Development, work with donors with the goal of deepening engagement, renewing annual gifts, and increasing affinity and giving. Collaborate with the Communications staff to write all appeal letters and donor communications.
- Development Operations: Process all donations, grants, and payments in Salesforce with the national team and create prompt acknowledgments. Work with the National team to process gifts from foundations, corporations, and individuals, including monetary, services, and in-kind and send out acknowledgement letters in an accurate, timely manner.
- Database management: Ensure all constituent contact, stewardship, and relationship information is accurately recorded in the database, correcting and updating donor records as needed. Work with the National Development Operations team to create and pull queries, exports and mailing lists from Salesforce as necessary. Perform prospecting and donor research for individuals using iWave.
- Other Duties as Apparent or Assigned: Work with the Development Director on various projects as assigned. Project manage various fundraising campaigns. Assist with planning, coordination and execution of stewardship events to strengthen relationships with donors and community members.
Data Analysis 25%
- Data Collection: Gathering data from various sources, including databases, spreadsheets, and institutional partners who have signed data sharing agreements. Streamlining data collection methods for use with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Data Cleaning and Preparation: Ensuring data accuracy and consistency by removing errors, handling missing values, and transforming data.
- Data Visualization: Creating charts, graphs, and dashboards to communicate findings effectively.
- Reporting and Presentation: Generating reports, presentations, and dashboards to share insights with stakeholders.
- Collaborating with other teams: Working with National data and research team to understand collection methodologies and provide accurate and timely data deliverables for grant proposals and reports.
What You Bring Education/Certifications/Licenses:
- Bachelor's degree.
- Nonprofit or Fund Development certification preferred.
Related Work Experience:
- Strong project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple projects and deadlines concurrently (required).
- Experience in developing, implementing, and managing direct mail projects (preferred).
- Experience with databases, mailings, and office administration
Computer/Software Skills:
- Strong computer skills, including demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, G-suite, and Trello.
- Salesforce experience is strongly
