Job purpose

CMD Preventative Maintenance manager develops, refines and oversees the preventative maintenance program. Manage preventative maintenance technician's daily workload within respective region. Schedule technicians to maximize their efficiency. Performing routine equipment and job audits to drive continues improvement. Negotiate lube service agreements.

Duties and responsibilities



  • Responsible for scheduling preventative maintenance for all CMD Machines on a routine basis set by OEM standards
  • Maintain a strong working relationship with all CMD customers (internal/external) ensuring they have full knowledge of what work is being performed on their equipment and addressing any questions or concerns they may have
  • Follow-up on repairs and service with customers, so that equipment can be returned to service as soon as possible
  • Monitor work performed through field/shop checks of equipment
  • Assist in resolving any nonconforming conditions under the preventative maintenance program
  • Manage open WIP for PM Customers
  • Promote positive and professional relationships with all company personnel
  • Perform other duties as assigned


Qualifications



  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must have a minimum of 3 year(s) previous supervisory experience of service personnel
  • Must have 5 year(s) previous experience as service technician
  • Trade school or special training preferred


  • Ability to travel up to 30% of time
  • Highly preferred knowledge of Komatsu (OEM) standards and processes
  • Strong communication skills


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities



  • Advanced knowledge of Service Pro and JD Edwards Business System
  • Advanced Knowledge of Komtrax operating system
  • Must promote and maintain a clean, neat and safe work environment
  • All Microsoft applications: Power Point, Excel, Word, Publisher, Outlook
  • Must have the ability to effectively motivate, supervise, and evaluate others
  • Must be able to foster a strong, cohesive team environment and work in a fast-paced, high performing work place where deadlines are critical
  • Must have the ability to work flexible hours, days and weekends (as work load demands)
  • Must conform to policies and procedures set forth by the company


  • Must have dependable transportation
