Position Summary

We are currently seeking a motivated and service-driven Terminal Operations & Dispatch Manager. This full-time role supports the daily functions of ticketing, customer service, staff supervision, and dispatch operations. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, customer-focused, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.


Key Responsibilities

Terminal & Ticketing Operations


  • Supervise daily terminal functions including ticket counter operations, staffing, scheduling, and performance oversight.
  • Train and support front-line staff to maintain consistent delivery of exceptional customer service.
  • Provide schedule and fare information, sell tickets, and balance daily sales.
  • Manage all company monetary transactions; ensure accuracy in reconciliation and deposits.
  • Oversee Package Express paperwork and collections as needed.
  • Address and resolve customer complaints or service issues professionally and efficiently.


Dispatch Operations

  • Dispatch interstate and long-distance buses per schedule.
  • Issue departure orders and coordinate daily driver bid schedules.
  • Monitor driver compliance with Hours of Service regulations.
  • Approve driver pay reconciliation forms; review envelopes for proper documentation and payment.
  • Inspect driver log books, licenses, medical cards, and physical readiness before dispatch.
  • Arrange for extra buses and drivers during high passenger volume or service disruptions.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of passenger counts and assist in customer service or incident report resolution.


Administrative & Financial Duties

  • Assist in monthly financial closing activities and enforce company terms and conditions.
  • Manage invoicing and account receivables related to terminal operations.
  • Execute clerical duties with speed and accuracy.



Skills & Qualifications

Education & Experience


  • Associate degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in customer service, transportation, or operations.
  • Experience managing teams and coordinating logistical tasks.
  • Supervisory experience is desirable.
  • Bus transportation industry background is highly valued.


Core Competencies

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Outlook.
  • Ability to multi-task, problem-solve, and maintain attention to detail in high-pressure situations.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to identify and resolve operational problems efficiently and collaboratively.


Language & Mathematics

  • Fluent in English; Spanish or other language proficiency is a plus.
  • Capable of reading and interpreting schedules, operational instructions, and written correspondence.
  • Able to calculate basic fares and operational costs, and understand geography related to travel routes.



Physical & Work Environment Requirements

  • Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds.
  • May be required to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods.
  • Work involves moderate noise levels in an office and terminal setting.
  • Must be available to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
