Senior Supply Chain Operations Manager

We are currently seeking an exceptional Senior Supply Chain Operations Manager to join our team.

As Senior Supply Chain Operations Manager you will lead the recovery activities on high risk and critical parts to deliver operational plans and minimize disruption across all customers in the region. This includes instigating procurement and alternative sourcing activities to mitigate any supply gaps. Developing relationships with internal and external customers and suppliers up to a senior level to build relationships, gain intelligence, influence and make day to day decisions including management of supplier capability and capacity and customer performance. Indirect responsibility for a small to medium team of professionals - potential future scope for a small team.

Key Activities:

• Managing and deploying improvements within the supply chain and customer solutions to achieve vendor and customer performance.
• Establish root cause for critical parts issues and work closely with other supply chain/business unit functions to ensure robust long-term process improvements are made in customer solutions that eliminate future problems through the deployment of Zero Defects Continuous Improvement tools.
• Work closely with other supply chain/business unit functions to ensure any key customer projects are delivered in line with business requirements.
• Liaison for best Milestone Plan.
• Customer facing.

About Role:

• Personally drive, in coordination with the Customer Solutions function where appropriate, that the correct identification of risk is in place with the required level of visibility into both the supply chain for resolution and the customer for understanding
• Establish adequate measures and objectives to ensure that the department meets the required operational performance targets.
• Establish, measure and monitor performance KPI's to ensure project performance and manage and improve critical parts in support of customer delivery.
• Develop and deploy processes, procedures, rules and tools in support of risk management and customer on hold management and mitigation across the relevant customers.
• Ensure all key customers within the region have dedicated SCOM processes developed and in place to support key customer management, with relevant SOP's and training matrices in place.
• Manage supply chain escalations for value stream and guide the team to ensure that customer issues are managed without impacting customer service levels, including managing chronic supplier issues.
• Accountable for facilitating and building strong customer relationships through continuously providing high quality service and support.
• Provide on-going analysis of reports, performance and trends, generating appropriate and timely recommendations and stating risks to both the customer (Internal & external) and the business.

About You:

• Degree or equivalent in Engineering or Business Management related subject or qualified by experience
• Project Management Qualification or relevant skills and experience
• Extensive experience in establishing, driving and developing customer relationships
• Extensive supply chain operations experience
• Technical component and manufacturing knowledge would be beneficial
• People management and leadership experience
• Significant experience in establishing, driving and developing supplier relationships
