GLOBAL SENIOR MANAGER, PMO

IMPACT AND OPPORTUNITY

The Global PMO Manager plays a pivotal role in defining and elevating the global Program Management discipline across the organization. This position is responsible for standardizing best-in-class program development and launch practices, ensuring process governance, and enabling consistent execution across product development and strategic initiatives. The role provides both strategic vision and tactical leadership to a global team of Program managers, while directly managing high-impact, cross-functional projects that span multiple regions and functions. This is a high-visibility leadership opportunity to shape enterprise-wide program management excellence, strengthen IATF 16949 compliance, and enhance launch readiness across the portfolio.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Program Management Process Leadership



  • Design, implement, and continuously improve the PMO framework, processes, and tools (Procedures, Standards, Work Instructions, Forms, systems, metrics, and training) that drive excellence in product launch and enterprise project execution
  • Align program management methodologies with industry best practices (e.g., agile, PMI, PMBOK) and ensure audit-readiness in compliance with IATF 16949


Strategic Portfolio Oversight



  • Oversee the global program portfolio ensuring visibility, risk management, escalation protocols, and execution accountability across all major initiatives
  • Support quarterly and executive-level global program reviews, synthesizing data into actionable business insights for senior decision-makers
  • Support critical/high-risk program issue escalation


Execution of Critical Programs



  • Lead high-impact strategic initiatives (e.g., digital transformation, product lifecycle system upgrades, cross-regional standardization) from discovery through implementation
  • Navigate complex organizational structures, effectively resolving cross-functional challenges and aligning competing priorities


Capability Building & Governance



  • Serve as the global process owner for Program Management standards and tools
  • Train and coach program teams and functional leaders on governance expectations, program reporting, and system utilization
  • Establish governance cadence and compliance metrics across global teams


Stakeholder Engagement



  • Foster strong, collaborative relationships with Executive Sponsors, Regional Functional Leaders, Product Development, Manufacturing, and Quality
  • Ensure that cross-functional dependencies are actively managed, and that stakeholders are aligned throughout the program lifecycle

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related technical field (Master's degree preferred)
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in Project and Program Management, including global or multi-site responsibility
  • Demonstrated success leading enterprise programs, PMO governance structures, and cross-functional teams
  • Advanced proficiency in project management systems, dashboards, portfolio management tools, and data analytics
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence all organizational levels
  • Proven ability to drive organizational change through process discipline and stakeholder alignment
  • High analytical capability with a systems-thinking mindset
  • Excellent verbal, written, and visual communication skills; adept at storytelling with data
  • Commitment to continuous improvement, operational excellence, and quality standards

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Automotive industry experience with exposure to IATF 16949 or other regulated, technical environments
  • PMP or similar recognized project management certification
  • Change management, problem solving leadership
  • Experience in implementing enterprise-level systems and change management
