Job Scope
The Associate Product Manager, Point-of-Care, will be responsible for executing marketing initiatives that support both the launch and ongoing lifecycle management of the product portfolio. This role will implement product line strategies aligned with the overall marketing plan to achieve annual revenue and profitability targets. The individual will work closely with cross-functional core teams during the development of new products-including assays, cloud-based solutions, and software-and will collaborate with commercial teams to ensure effective on-market support and performance.

Key Duties and Responsibilities


  • Overall product management responsibility for the molecular point-of-care product lines, including:


  • Leading Marketing efforts as part of the product development and program management team


  • Planning and executing commercialization and launch activities


  • Developing product positioning and Marketing campaigns


  • Managing the product lifecycle, including portfolio planning and execution to maximize long-term value


  • Prioritizing product features and pipeline opportunities based on customer feedback and business impact


  • Main point of contact for product specific requests from Regional Marketing, Program Management, Marketing Communications, R&D, Manufacturing, and Customer Experience


  • Provide strategic direction and messaging for tradeshows and conferences related to the assigned products in the assigned portfolio


  • Work with Technical Support, Regional Marketing and R&D to ensure product performance issues are tracked and resolved, and appropriate documentation is provided to customers


  • Collaborating with the cross-functional core teams during the development phase of new products (assays/CLOUD/software) and with the commercial teams for the on-market support


  • Support the broader Luminex Global Marketing team on assignments or projects, as required


Education, Experience, and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree Science or Engineering field required


  • Master's Degree MBA or additional business training / certifications preferred


  • 3+ Years Experience in Life Sciences, Medical Devices, Healthcare Laboratory, or related industry required


  • 1+ Years Experience in Marketing, Sales, or Technical Support in Life Science research required


  • 1+ Years Experience in launching and providing on-market support for Point of Care diagnostics preferred


  • 1+ Years Experience managing products across the entire portfolio lifecycle preferred


  • 1+ Years Experience working within a quality-systems environment and product development under design control preferred


  • 1+ Years Experience in ideation, launch and post-launch activities in point-of-care diagnostics, preferred preferred



Training and Skills


  • Proactive attitude, aimed to quickly identify and execute tasks critical to the product success


  • Experience with creating product documentation, release notes, and training materials


  • Ability to deliver clear and compelling presentations to diverse audiences, including executives, customers, and technical teams


  • Demonstrated track record of success in translating a concept or new product to a successful Marketing and Sales Campaign


  • Demonstration of strong leadership capabilities


  • Budget and agency management skills


  • Hands-on, goal-oriented attitude


  • Self-starter, enthusiastic and strategic thinker with a bias for action


  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving


  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills


  • Self-confident and strong work ethic


  • Solid track record of establishing good external and internal relationships


  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word

Travel Requirements

  • 20% Domestic and International
