Responsibilities

As an Social Work Intern Position you will:

located in the Clinical and Recovery Services Division of the Mental Health (MH) Department at the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation (HBFF) in Center City, MN.

Provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment based on the mental health needs of patients. Function as a member of the multidisciplinary team providing input for assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and delivery of services. Engage in training program activities to develop competencies to complete internship successfully. 75% or more supervision is provided by a Master of Social Work, Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker and up to 25% supervision from an alternate licensing supervisor as defined in Minnesota Statutes sections 245.462 and 245.4871 and who is qualified to provide supervision according to their licensing board. This position works under a licensed provider who will co-sign documentation.

Firewall Position

This position has been defined as a Hazelden Betty Ford firewall position, which means it has been identified as needing access to PHI that is otherwise restricted in the functional department under HIPAA regulations. Firewall jobs are supervised by staff members that have less access to PHI than the person in the firewall job. Employees are expected to:

* Review what protected health information cannot be shared openly within the department

* Ensure the integrity of the job function

* Understand the significance of HIPAA

* Not undermine the process

* Report to either the Corporate Privacy Officer or Human Resources any attempts to compromise these positions


Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree from Accredited Institution
  • Currently enrolled and in good standing in a university's Master of Social Work program.
  • Academic Program's Verification of Internship Eligibility and Readiness
