Description

Are you passionate about gymnastics and shaping young athletes? Join the Beverly Y as a Gymnastics Coach and lead youth from recreational levels to Xcel competitive team in a fun, safe, and supportive environment.

What You'll Do:




  • Coach gymnasts of all levels, focusing on skill development and sportsmanship



  • Lead recreational and Xcel team practices



  • Build strong relationships with gymnasts and families



  • Ensure a clean, safe gym space and follow YMCA protocols



  • Be available for evenings, weekends, and travel for meets




What We're Looking For:




  • Experience coaching gymnastics (Xcel or competitive preferred)



  • Strong communication and spotting skills



  • CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to obtain)



  • Enthusiasm for youth development and team culture

Qualifications


  • 2+ years coaching Xcel Bronze/Silver or JO Levels 3-5 (preferred)



  • Competition experience and knowledge of Xcel or JO Code of Points



  • Ability to demonstrate skills and spot safely



  • SafeSport Certified (or willing to complete within 15 days)



  • CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to obtain)



  • Team player who's passionate about youth development




Physical Requirements:




  • Able to lift up to 55 lbs (equipment or a child)



  • Stand for long periods and move across uneven gym surfaces



  • Respond quickly and effectively to emergencies



  • Physically capable of demonstrating gymnastics skills and drills
