Responsibilities

The Regional LPCC Clinical Supervisor provides advanced clinical supervision (oversight) and training to LPCC supervisees (trainees) consistent with Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation's Standards of Care. The primary purpose is to provide individual and group supervision for current LADC (Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor) staff who have passed the LPCC exam and who are working towards there LPCC clinical supervision hours per Minnesota Board of Behavioral Health and Therapy requirements. Supervisor is responsible for reviewing and maintaining supervision contracts, tracking clinical encounters, recruiting and retaining new supervisees; in addition to, and maintaining applicable training materials. This is a Minnesota only regional position that would support supervisees at any of the 5 Hazelden Betty Ford Clinical sites (Center City, Plymouth, Saint Paul, Maple Grove and Chaska)

The Regional LPCC Clinical Supervisor will be responsible to ensure development of clinical competencies and ethical practices of supervisee per American Counseling Association standards. LPCC Clinical Supervisor will develop and maintain milestones for supervisee(s).

  • Provide leadership and supervision to supervisees participating in LPCC Supervision to ensure appropriate skill development
  • Maintain recruitment, training, implementation and oversight of Current LPCC Supervisees and future LPCC supervisees with an emphasis on clinical services
  • Represent Hazelden Betty Ford services to various audiences to ensure consistent knowledge of services, processes and participation
  • Facilitate and demonstrate communication of patient information to internal and external resources for patients according to Hazelden Betty Ford

    Foundation policy and procedures and consistent with Federal Confidentiality (CFR 42) and Health Information Portability and Privacy Act (CFR 45) and mandated reporting requirements


Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree
  • Completed Certificate/degree program in addiction counseling or equivalent
    • MN: LPCC
  • MN: Must be trained in Rule 31
  • Minimum BBHT-approved clinical supervisor
  • Must satisfactorily pass a state/license specific background check
  • 4 or more years of providing therapy in a mental health/chemical dependency treatment environment.
  • Minimum 6 months providing clinical supervision to students or interns in a co-occurring setting
  • Current CPR certification or obtain within 30 days.
    • Certification must be from American Red Cross or American Heart Association.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Doctoral-level clinician who has worked both is Mental Health and Substance Use Disorder services
