Air Products seeks a Turnaround Planning Supervisor within our Project Resource and Outage Support (PROS) Group located in one of the business sub-regions in the U.S. or Canada. who embodies a safety-first mentality, takes ownership for getting results and can complete daily operating and maintenance activities. The Planning Supervisor is responsible for driving excellence through the application of the PROS Turnaround Standard Practices. In this role, you will ensure delivery of quality planning in alignment with the event milestone plan, review and approve work packages, and manage planner assignments. You will accomplish this by working daily with Turnaround Event Managers, Project Engineers, and Maintenance Supervisors along with constantly collaborating with operations, maintenance, engineering, safety, and other functional support services. The performance measures of turnarounds include Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality (SHEQ) performance, Reliability of the assets, completion on schedule, and spending within budget. This role reports to the PROS Technical Planning Manager.

Required Skills / Abilities:
  • Expert level knowledge of turnaround planning processes.
  • Able to create best in class detailed work packages.
  • Ability to resolve conflicts and work in diverse groups.
  • Ability to audit and quality check work packages for technical errors or scope misalignment.
Key Job Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage a 2-year resource assignment plan based on planner skills and capabilities.
  • Own and maintain the turnaround planning standard practices.
  • Monitor and report planning KPIs to deliver planning in alignment with event milestones
  • Train, coach, and mentor planners.
  • Work with cross functional teams including safety, operations, maintenance, and contractors to verify detailed planning reflects scope of work.
Minimum Hiring Requirements:
  • Experience with Quality related work processes, management systems, and specifications in a manufacturing environment.
  • Applied knowledge and understanding of statutory/regulatory inspection requirements required.
  • Strong sense of ownership and ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with business partners to drive actions and improvement.
  • Applied problem solving, root cause analysis, and methodology required.
  • Continuous improvement and transformational mindset and maintenance of quality systems supporting a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience and understanding of document management systems and management of change systems.
  • ISO 9001 & ISO 14001 Certified Internal Auditor Certification desired.
  • Certified Six Sigma Black Belt (CSSBB) desired.
  • SAP experience desired.

Work Hours

  • Typical work week is 40 hours with additional hours as needed to support planning or execution.
  • Travel 30% - 40% is required across the U.S and Canada.
  • The work environment is diverse from an office setting to onsite at Air Products operating facilities.
