Summary:

The Industrial Engineer II will facilitate and coordinate efforts to ensure Performance Excellence programs are developed and managed using a data driven focus which sets priorities for improvements aligned to ongoing strategic imperatives. The Industrial Engineer II role is at the center of critical efforts to continuously evolve the organization and make impactful changes. This is a hands-on role, diving deep to understand the current processes utilizing extensive data analysis, statistical methods, and process and value stream mapping to understand root causes and provide recommendations.

Responsibilities:


  • Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
  • Develops analytics to identify areas of improvement to draw conclusions for recommendations.
  • Validates data analysis performed within the team.
  • Identifies root cause to build and execute corrective action tasks in improvement plans.
  • Summarizes and presents gap analysis to various levels throughout the organization.
  • Collaborates on plan formation with other engineers for future operational and analytical development.
  • Supports using Lean principles to identify opportunities to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Identifies barriers to success and implement change.
  • Facilitates operational improvement activities with associates.
  • Develops performance metrics and provide feedback to management team.
  • Research and benchmarks topics and industry standards relevant to your project scope.
  • Supports multiple large-scale projects through entire project life cycle.
  • Participates in other special projects and performs other job duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

Education/Skills


  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Industrial & Systems Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Health Systems Engineering from an ABET accredited university.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite tools: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Project, and Outlook.
  • Proficient with Lean-Six Sigma tools and methodologies.
  • Ability to work independently to perform analysis of data and statistical methods.
  • Ability to work full-time in a hospital, clinic, or office environment.
  • Ability to work with all levels of employees across the organization.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Experience


  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience required.
  • Experience in a healthcare setting preferred.

Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications


  • Lean Green Belt, Six Sigma Green Belt, or Lean-Six Sigma Green Belt preferred.
