The Space Dynamics Laboratory (SDL) is seeking a Student Facilities Assistant. The selected candidate will assist the Facilities Team in maintaining, repairing, and improving the facilities at SDL. This could include general plumbing, electrical, mechanical, painting, and any other maintenance tasks as they come up. You will also perform and accurately record preventative maintenance tasks on a monthly basis.
Onsite support is required for this position in North Logan, Utah. The selected candidate must be available to work onsite year-round.

Our expertise in satellites, sensors and instruments, ground systems and data processing, and autonomous systems plays a critical role in missions supporting NASA and the Department of Defense. Required Qualifications:
  • Must be a student currently enrolled at an accredited school with a minimum of one year of school remaining
  • Must be available to work 15-20 hours per week during semesters and up to 40 hours per week during summers
  • Must have a valid US driver's license
  • Experience in facilities, maintenance, and/or construction
  • Strong work ethic, dedication, and sense of responsibility
  • Must be comfortable using computers and all Microsoft programs
  • Must be a US citizen, lawful permanent resident of the US, or other US person
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with woodworking
Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
