We have a total of 206 licensed acute beds and are one of the largest providers of acute inpatient services in Southeastern Pennsylvania. The Horsham Clinic also offers partial hospitalization services for children, teens and adults at our main campus in Ambler, and at our Chester County and Delaware County partial programs. What You'll Do (Position Description) The Manager of Activity/Recreational Therapy is responsible for assessing patient's leisure and recreational activities, providing age and developmentally appropriate therapy groups and establishing behavioral treatment goals in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of The Horsham Clinic. The ideal candidate will supervise Activity, Group and other Recreation Therapists. This role offers both administrative and clinical leadership to our Recreation and Activity Therapies department. This role involves interviewing and recommending new hires, overseeing training and development of the departments, and supervising department staff in alignment with the facility's philosophy, goals, and standards, as well as level of care requirements. This role directly reports to the Director of Therapy and Counseling and will assist in revamping and creating curriculums. Contributions to Team Success (Job Duties/Responsibilities)

Qualifications Job Requirements Education: Masters degree required in related field of Art, Music or Exercise/Fitness required. Credentials: OT or CRT preferred Experience:A minimum of three years' experience in Recreation Therapy field working with a mental health population. Knowledge:Knowledge of group leadership skills, age specific growth and development and crisis and behavior management. Licensure/Certification:Certified Recreational Therapist or licensed in Specialty Therapy. Possesses current registration, certification or licensure in accordance with state and/or national board standards of specific field of allied health (i.e. art, recreational, music, psychodrama therapy) |
