Summary;

The Sales Development Representative will play a pivotal role in supporting our rapidly growing Sustainability Consulting and Attestation practice. This role is central to building early client relationships and driving interest in our Sustainability Consulting and Assurance offerings, including those aligned with frameworks like the GHG Protocol, CSRD, EUDR, ISSB (SASB/TCFD), CDP, as well as B-Corp and EcoVadis certifications.

The preferred locations for candidates in this role are GMT, CET, or EST time zones to facilitate better collaboration across our US and European teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and research potential clients in the ESG/sustainability or compliance support or attestation using industry tools, market trends, and company insights to build a strong pipeline
  • Conduct high-volume outbound outreach via phone, email, LinkedIn, and other channels to engage prospects and generate interest in our sustainability consulting and attestation services
  • Effectively communicate the value of ESG consulting and third-party attestation, highlighting financial, regulatory, and reputational benefits aligned with key frameworks (e.g., Climate Disclosure rules, CSRD/ESRS, ISSB/SASB/TCFD, etc.)
  • Qualify leads based on established criteria and schedule discovery calls with Analysts and Account Executives to move opportunities forward
  • Nurture relationships with consistent follow-up, including re-engagement of closed-lost or unresponsive leads, to maintain momentum and uncover new opportunities
  • Maintain accurate CRM data to support pipeline visibility and performance tracking; contribute to ongoing improvements in reporting and sales operations
  • Collaborate across teams including marketing, consulting, and audit to align messaging and tailor outreach strategies to client needs and market developments
  • Represent Sensiba at relevant virtual and in-person industry events to expand brand awareness and generate new leads
  • Contribute to sales process improvement by helping refine playbooks, messaging, and tools based on feedback and field insights
  • Pursue ongoing development through regular feedback, training, and keeping current on ESG trends and industry best practices

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education/experience
  • 1-3 years of experience in sales, business development, or outreach-preferably in SaaS, ESG, sustainability, or compliance industries
  • Proficiency with CRM, marketing automation, and sales intelligence tools. Salesforce, HubSpot, and ZoomInfo is a plus
  • Genuine interest in sustainability, climate action, and ESG accountability
  • Familiarity with ESG and sustainability frameworks (e.g., CSRD, ISSB, GHG Protocol, CDP) and SaaS platforms (e.g. Greenly, Workiva, Persenfoni, Watershed, etc.) is a plus
  • Proven track record of success in generating qualified leads through outbound effort
  • Strong cold calling skills and the ability to handle objections effectively
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong attention to detail
  • Fluency in English; additional language proficiency is a bonus
  • Fearless and positive attitude - willing to take intelligent risks while being a team player, resilient in the face of challenges
  • Strong time management skills; ability to prioritize effectively, meet deadlines, work with others and follow through to execute task.
