JOB SUMMARY

This General Foreman is a supervisory level/department-head level position. Individual requires a proven track record showing active participation in HSE programs with the drive to continue to grow in HSE leadership.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES



  • Major portion of job responsibility is grounded in HSE deliverables and visible leadership.
  • Additionally, the applicant plans, coordinates and supervises on-site activities concerned with maintenance and construction projects.
  • Applicant must be familiar with all phases of industrial systems associated with the petrochemical industry.
  • Applicant must work independently with minimal direction, set priorities and plan ahead. Responsibilities include planning, scheduling and interfacing with other AES disciplines and Client representatives on all operations and maintenance activities.
  • Responsible for coordination of activities which include all aspects of facility and drill-site maintenance to optimize production and utilization of human resources and equipment within client Operations and Maintenance division.
  • Interface with project managers, customers, and subcontractors to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Approve personnel schedules and monitor the level of work performed.
  • Assign personnel and equipment according to project requirements.
  • Prepare cost estimates for project equipment and supplies as required.
  • Monitor project scope, schedule, and budget. Including working in client ERP systems to manage work activities and deliverables to the client.
  • Conduct field reviews to inspect work progress and ensure conformance with project specifications.
  • Prepare work status and progress reports.
  • Develop short and long-term goals and objectives for the department.
  • Supervise and provide guidance to department personnel.
  • Assign responsibilities and coordinate the work of craft personnel.
  • Coordinate personnel schedules and monitor the level of work performed.
  • Maintain delivery logs, daily production numbers, and timesheets.
  • Develop, update, and maintain safety procedures.
  • Prepare and order material take-offs as required.
  • Track and document equipment use.
  • Load, haul and operate heavy equipment including blade, dozer, trimmer, lowboy, end dump, Bely dump, loader, rock truck.
  • Prepare work status and progress reports.
  • Supervise and provide guidance to craft personnel.
  • Able to read drawing and set grade and grade stakes for job set up.
  • Knowledge in Tremble and GPS set up in blades and dozers.
  • Knowledge in building and maintaining Ice roads.
  • Other duties will be assigned to this position as needs require.
  • Comply with Company and customer policies and procedures.
  • Support AES zero-incident safety culture and assume personal accountability and responsibility for safe work practices in all projects, activities, and operations.



REQUIRED EXPERIENCE



  • Eight or more years experience with all phases of petrochemical industry.
  • Eight years experience in arctic petroleum industry operations & maintenance background; and five years experience supervising crews working to North Slope and petroleum industry standards.
  • Must have extensive knowledge of all aspects of facility and drill-site maintenance.
  • Required to have a valid driver's license. All successful applicants must meet the AES driving policy and will be required to sign a Release of Information form and pass a driving record background check as a condition of employment.
  • Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent
  • North Slope Training Cooperative (NSTC) safety training certification required. All candidates that do not already possess an NSTC training card must successfully complete NSTC training that is provided during the orientation process as a condition of employment.



PREFERRED EXPERIENCE



  • Proficiency in SAP or similar ERP systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office.

WORKING ON THE NORTH SLOPE

While working on the North Slope of Alaska, your lodging and food will be provided to you. All camps provide warm meals and options to grab a quick lunch or snack from the spike rooms. Rooms vary from single status to shared rooms where your roommate may work the opposite shift. Wi-Fi and Internet is free and available within the camp. Services vary depending upon where you are staying; however, most facilities offer housekeeping, self-serve laundry, commissary, mail, gyms, TV/Theater Room, etc. Each facility will have its own accommodation and policies that will be reviewed upon on-site orientation.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

The physical demands and work environment requirements outlined below are representative of those necessary to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. A post-offer, pre-hire Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE) will be conducted to ensure an employee's ability to safely meet job standards. Candidates must be able to comply with the ASRC Energy Driving Records and Motor Vehicle Use Policy, successfully pass a pre-employment drug test which may include both urinalysis and hair testing, and meet the physical requirements of working in a remote location under arctic conditions.
