The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Position Summary

Serve as the primary clinical, management and affiliation coordinator for the School of Nursing. Overseeing and managing all aspects of the clinical placement process and program support team.

Responsibilities



  1. Oversee and manage clinical placement processes

    1. Engage with clinical sites, student health, and student affairs to facilitate seamless clinical placements
    2. Attend clinical affiliation meetings
    3. Ensure affiliation agreements are current
    4. Collaborate with administrative support team for affiliation agreement process
    5. Manage updating of all clinical site requirements including but not limited to orientation and on-boarding procedures, compliance requirements, clinical placement capacity, and additional screenings required by sites.


  2. Responsible for ongoing process improvement initiatives

    1. Develop and implement new workflows to improve clinical placement processes
    2. Oversee implementation of clinical placement processes using software platforms (Exaat)
    3. Oversee all clinical site on-boarding clearance and orientation procedures.
    4. Ensure compliance and preparedness for clinical rotations.
    5. Direct and manage support staff responsible for credential tracking as required by clinical agencies, CON, and accrediting bodies.


  3. Direct, manage, and supervise support staff

    1. Determine the number of students, placements, and type of experience required for each semester.
    2. Identify and secure clinical placements per semester
    3. Communicate clinical placements (and or changes) and assignment to program director, Assistant Dean, and students.
    4. Facilitate and oversee preceptor appointments in collaboration with program directors, assistant dean, and HR


  4. Manage regulatory and compliance processes

    1. Provide statistical reports to the program directors and Assistant Dean for accreditation and other regulatory reports
    2. Oversee clinical site evaluations, preceptor evaluations
    3. Ensure the accuracy and availability of compliance data to be provided to clinical agencies upon request.
    4. Communicate of clinical practice document deficiencies to program directors and assistant dean


  5. Collaborate with the Program Director and the Simulation Center to coordinate and schedule simulation sessions for assigned courses.



Minimum Qualifications

Requires Bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and experience plus four years of related experience.

Preferred Qualifications



  • Master's degree in education, healthcare administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in academic nursing education or a related healthcare academic setting.
  • Knowledge of clinical placement processes and familiarity with the requirements of graduate-level nursing education.
