Position Summary: The Junior Accountant maintain and improve upon financial analysis procedures and schedules, ensure data integrity and that financial information is presented accurately and results are issued in a timely manner. What you will do in this role: Actively participate in the financial month-end close and budgeting process Own Marketing and Distribution Centers accounting for and recording transactions and reporting back to business owners/channel heads Ownership and maintenance of general ledger and journal entries Extensive P&L and Balance Sheet variance analysis and reporting Perform product line and customer profitability analysis Reconcile general ledger and balance sheet on a monthly basis Maintain and improve upon existing dashboards Perform ad hoc analysis of accounting transactions, operational performance, and general ledger accounts Perform accrual accounting for vendor debits Assist with internal control initiatives, policies and procedures Assist with annual budget and year-end external statutory audits Qualifications Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required CPA designation with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience OR at least 3 years of progressive accounting experience without CPA Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles Hands-on experience with general ledger maintenance, journal entries, and month-end close Proficient in preparing and analyzing P&L statements and balance sheet reconciliations Demonstrated ability to perform detailed financial analysis, including product line and customer profitability Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with financial dashboards and ERP/accounting systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Excellent written and verbal communication skills Experience supporting external audits and assessing internal controls is preferred
