Concentra's market specific rate/range will be provided during the interview process. The Java Software Development Analyst III will work within a collaborative agile team. Responsibilities include design, development, reliability, availability, scalability and performance of Java applications. Application services provide automation, workflow and process improvement, system/application integration, employer and payer applications. The Analyst III is responsible to take technical ownership and work in collaboration with the business to translate requirements into a technical solution. They would provide technical guidance and mentorship to the team, ensuring the development of robust, scalable, and maintainable Java applications and Oracle database solutions. They are responsible for delivering quality customer service, as well as, incorporating and adhering to requirements defined by Concentra technology standards. In addition, the Analyst III is responsible for coding standards, best practices and development processes, conducting code reviews and promoting continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
Design and develop and support Java web applications/solutions using Spring MVC, Struts and microservices.
- Deep understanding of Oracle database concepts, including SQL, PL/SQL, data modeling, and performance tuning.
- Translate business requirements into functional and dynamic web pages, REST APIs, and backend processes.
- Design and develop web pages using HTML, JSP, CSS and Bootstrap, JavaScript and jQuery.
- Design and develop database tables, stored procedures, triggers on the Oracle database platform.
- Experience with the full SDLC, including Agile methodologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Work with Product Owners to plan and test application releases.
- Participate in architectural discussions and ensure the team's work aligns with the overall architectural vision.
- Work with infrastructure teams to deploy builds, execute database requests and troubleshoot problems.
Qualifications
Education/Credentials
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering from an accredited college or equivalent education and experience
- In lieu of undergraduate degree, the ratio is 1:1 meaning one year of college equals one year of work experience and vice versa
Job-related Experience
- 8+ years of experience developing Java web-based applications, including design/development of user interfaces using MVC Frameworks, Struts, Microservices etc.
- Deep understanding of Oracle database concepts, including SQL, PL/SQL, data modeling, and performance tuning
- Must have strong experience integrating complex systems, ideally in an Oracle environment
- Strong knowledge and experience with Java based applications and services
- Experience in web services, back-end and front-end technologies
- Designing, building and operating complex, high volume and low latency systems
- Strong SQL experience is a must
- Prior experience in a team lead role
