Job Description:

Job-specific / Technical Skills / Competencies

1. Obtain and order and schedule patient for MRI at LOC.

2. Verify insurance authorization.

3. Register LOC patients for their MRI appointment.

4. Check in patients in EPIC when they arrive for their MRI appointment.

5. Prepare patients for their MRI by starting the screening process and having them change into scrubs.

6. Assist the technologist by setting up the room for the exam and getting the patient into the exam room.

7. Cleaning up the room following the completion of the exam.

8. Stocking clean linen.

9. Disposal of dirty linen.

10. Assists with obtaining the patient history and documenting into Epic.

11. Documents release of medical records in EHR when patients need copies of imaging and/or reports.

12. Learn how to perform MRI duties.

13. Assists MRI technologists with other procedures when needed.

Requirements:

BCLS Required within 90 days of hire
