Responsible for leading and maturing the cybersecurity governance program. Drive the development and maintenance of cybersecurity policies, lead enterprise-wide human risk management, deliver actionable metrics and reporting, and manage cybersecurity communications. Support cybersecurity integration activities during mergers and acquisitions (M&A). Work closely with cybersecurity leadership, IT, legal, HR and business units to ensure the governance structure supports a culture of security, accountability, and compliance across the organization.

What you'll do as a Cybersecurity Governance Sr Manager:

  • Develop, maintain, and enforce cybersecurity policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Ensure alignment with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and business objectives.
  • Lead periodic reviews and updates of governance documentation.
  • Design and implement cybersecurity awareness and training programs tailored to various audiences.
  • Measure effectiveness of training initiatives and continuously improve content and delivery.
  • Partner with HR and Communications to embed cybersecurity culture across the organization.
  • Develop and execute cybersecurity communication strategies to promote transparency and engagement.
  • Create executive-level briefings, newsletters, and awareness campaigns.
  • Serve as a liaison between cybersecurity and business units to ensure consistent messaging.
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics for cybersecurity activities.
  • Deliver regular reports to senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Use data-driven insights to inform decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Support cybersecurity due diligence and integration activities during merger & acquisition events.
  • Assess governance maturity of target organizations and recommend integration strategies.
  • Ensure alignment of policies, training, and reporting across merged entities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications you'll bring as a Cybersecurity Governance Sr Manager:

  • Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, computer science, information technology, or a related field (master's degree preferred).
  • Five or more years of experience in cybersecurity governance, risk, and compliance (GRC).
  • Proven leadership in managing cross-functional teams and complex projects.
  • Expertise in policy lifecycle management and human risk management strategies.
  • Deep understanding of cybersecurity governance frameworks (e.g., NIST CSF, ISO 27001, COBIT).
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
