Georgia Pacific is immediately hiring for a Shift Leader - Nights with specific accountability for the night shift team in Bowling Green, KY.

Our Team

Georgia-Pacific in Bowling Green has been proudly making Dixie paper plates and bowls since 1993. We have a great, self-disciplined and focused team, who is committed to our Vision and Principal Based culture.

Hours: Night Shift 2-3-2 Schedule - 6:30pm-7am

Pay Rate for Position: Based on experience and leadership ability- ($26+ BOE). Salaried nonexempt role, with overtime potential. Eligible for performance (Site & Team) based bonuses, paid yearly.

What You Will Do

* Clearly communicate team goals & objectives, individual & training expectations

* Clearly articulate and the team understands and aligns with the plant vision

* Lead situation appraisals. Ensure training issues are identified & plans for resolution developed

* Establish a skill development plan for each Team Member and for the Team

* Train TMs so they can execute the objectives of their assignments per facility policies, procedures and standards

* Hold TMs accountable for their performance, tracking and meeting training objectives

* Identify and resolve team and team member issues including skill gaps issues

* Communicate issues from leaders to the team and from team members to leaders

* Facilitate team problem solving to ensure causes are identified and eliminated

* Conduct annual 360 Reviews for Team Members - provide appropriate feedback

* Utilize the PPAT Model to monitor, guide, and adjust team performance to meet Key Outputs

* Be a Role Model & Mentor for the PBM Guiding Principles

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills

* Critical thinking. Ability to conduct situation appraisals

* Demonstrated ability to confront and coach team members on performance and training deviations

* Experience in helping others resolve difficult situations

* Professional communicator, able to have difficult conversations with team members

* Good mechanical troubleshooting skills. Has the ability to learn & perform maintenance

  • One (1) plus years' experience leading a team in a manufacturing environment
