Job Summary
The Corporate Relations Specialist (
CRS) plays a key role in building and maintaining employer relationships for the Jindal School of Management (
JSOM) at The University of Texas at Dallas. This position is responsible for assessing employer needs, developing strategies to support their recruiting efforts, and fostering long-term partnerships across a dynamic and evolving employer base.
Working closely with the Assistant Dean, Assistant Director of Corporate Relations, Corporate Relations Team, and Career Development Specialists, the
CRS ensures all employer-related activities are effectively supported, tracked, and evaluated. The role provides critical support for engaging employers in major career events such as Career Expos, Industry Forums, Site Visits, Company Days, student organization career events, and information sessions. Additionally, the
CRS manages key employer data, including postings, resume referrals, and participation metrics, to strengthen employer engagement and career services outcomes. |
Minimum Education and Experience |
Bachelor's Degree. Three to five years in corporate/business experience. |

- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Three to five years of direct business or campus recruiting experience.
Preferred Skills
- Strong ability to interact effectively with corporate executives, alumni, faculty, and staff to promote student recruitment.
- Experience in career advising and counseling.
- Proven relationship-building, sales/marketing, communication, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.

- Regular interaction with corporate executives and recruiters, hiring managers, students, alumni, staff, and faculty.
- Advises and counsels students, corporate recruiters, and hiring managers to support successful recruiting and placement outcomes.

Employer Engagement
- Build and manage relationships with employers who recruit at JSOM.
- Develop strategies to generate new placement opportunities and bring new companies to campus.
- Conduct proactive outreach to existing and new employers to source high-interest job opportunities.
- Research job opportunities in the community through various job posting platforms.
- Develop and maintain a working list of companies that provide sponsorship opportunities.
On-Campus Recruiting & Events
- Manage and oversee all on-campus recruiting logistics, including interviews and information sessions.
- Schedule and coordinate On-Campus Interviews (OCI) and Employer Campus Information Sessions.
- Solicit and communicate with employers regarding attendance and participation in Career Management Center (CMC) events.
- Provide services to employers seeking internship postings, resume distribution, interviewing, and other recruiting activities.
Data & Systems Management
- Maintain the integrity of the Salesforce CRM employer database and support new business development.
- Utilize Handshake for job postings, interview scheduling, and event coordination.
- Track and evaluate daily, weekly, and monthly metrics on full-time placements by student and company (e.g., job postings, positions by company, opportunities by concentration).
Communication & Student Support
- Establish and manage communications to students regarding job opportunities and company events.
- Present placement information and CMC services to students and employers.
- Research industry trends and emerging career opportunities to share with students and employers.
- Maintain a working knowledge of JSOM academic programs to align employer needs with student preparation.
- Develop employer strategies tailored to underserved JSOM programs.
Team Collaboration
- Assist in supervising student assistants supporting the Corporate Relations Team.

Remote Work Notice
A hybrid remote work schedule may be available (currently 1-day remote weekly).
Employee must be located within the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex area and have the ability to be on campus for work activities as scheduled and/or with 24-hour notice. Completion and approval of a UT Dallas Remote Work Agreement will be required upon employment, and use of personal computer, internet, and other standard equipment may be required. Remote work arrangements are subject to regular review and re-approval and may be canceled at any time.
Work Schedule:
Typical schedule will be 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM with flexibility to cover employer events outside of work hours.
