Position Summary

As part of the Strategy team, you will play a critical role in formulating and executing projects that are vital to achieving the Firm's vision. The Strategy team is a highly skilled advisory group, comprised mostly of former strategy consultants. You will work on global projects that impact every practice within the Firm, providing you significant opportunities to build and enhance your strategic and analytical skillset.

Under the direction of the Global Director of Strategy, you will collaborate with the Executive Committee (EC), Strategy Committees and task forces, relevant functional leaders, and Strategy team to drive initiatives from strategy formulation to execution. This includes market and financial analysis, strategy development, project scoping, design, testing, implementation, change management and KPI development and tracking.

The ideal candidate will utilize broad consulting skills such as gathering, cleansing, and analyzing data; developing pertinent and thoughtful insights; contributing to the creating of deliverables in PowerPoint, Excel, and Visualization Tools (e.g., Power BI) creating work plans and competing deadlines.

Duties and Accountabilities1

Strategy Project Support

  • Contribute to the development of project plans and timelines

  • Assist in gathering and documenting project requirements

  • Participate in interviews, meetings, and workshops to understand Firm and project-specific goals and deliverables

Data Analysis and Insights

  • Collect, analyze, and interpret data to support project objectives

  • Prepare data visualizations and summaries to communicate findings

  • Use analytical tools and techniques to identify trends and insights

Benchmarking

  • Conduct industry and market research to support project recommendations

  • Benchmark Firm practices against market standards and best practices

  • Compile research findings into concise and actionable reports

Solution Development and Implementation

  • Develop hypotheses and research solutions, frameworks, and methodologies to address project-specific requirements, using accurate and appropriate sources (e.g., interviewing partners, researching 3rd party data sources)

  • Collaborate with team members to brainstorm and evaluate potential solutions

  • Assist in the creation of project documentation, reports, and presentations

  • Provide support during the implementation of recommendations

  • Assist in training end users on new approaches and systems

  • Monitor and report on the progress of implementation activities

Collaboration and Communication

  • Maintain the Strategy team's online document repositories

  • Support senior leaders in executing project tasks, activities, and ad hoc strategy requests

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, or related/relevant field

  • 2+ years of experience in consulting, business analysis, banking, or related roles

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio); familiarity with data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., SQL, PowerBI) is a plus

  • Demonstrated familiarity with key business concepts and experience with financial analysis is preferred

  • Demonstrated ability to seek feedback from team members and key stakeholders to improve performance

  • Proven commitment to staying updated on industry trends, tools, and methodologies

  • Active participation in training and development programs

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

  • Confident and able to work with senior stakeholders

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

Location & Reporting

  • This is a full-time role based in New York

  • This role reports to the Global Director of Strategy
