Shift Timing: Day Shift: 8am- 4pm (Negotiable); Lunch: 1hour (Unpaid)

Job Description:

  • The Analyst 1Research and Evaluation will report to the Executive Director in the Performance and Grant Management Unit and be responsible for leveraging data science techniques to support the development, analysis, and visualization of performance metrics across the department.
  • The role will contribute to maintaining the performance management dashboard, ensuring data integrity, and driving insights to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Assist the PGMU team in maintaining, automating, and updating the performance management dashboard/database to ensure efficient tracking of comprehensive health program metrics.
  • Use advanced statistical software and data visualization tools to streamline data collection and integration.
  • Implement and refine automated processes for ingesting data from various sources and ensure dashboard updates reflect real-time progress towards strategic goals.
  • Continuously improve data collection, analysis, and dissemination workflows to enhance accuracy and scalability.
  • Assist the Analyst 2 Research and Evaluation (A2RE) and the PGMU team in developing evaluations utilizing both qualitative and quantitative techniques and methods to ensure a comprehensive assessment of health programs.
  • Assist in designing SMART and SMARTIE performance indicators.
  • Analyze trends and patterns from dashboard data to develop and refine performance metrics and evaluation methods.
  • Design and implement data collection tools and pipelines that ensure scalability and reliability.
  • Perform data cleaning and validation processes to maintain high-quality datasets.
  • Prepare insightful reports emphasizing data visualizations and storytelling to communicate findings effectively and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Provide technical assistance and create technical training guides for how to best utilize the performance management dashboard and continuously update the database.


Required Skills:

  • Tableau, Excel, SAS/SQL
  • Power BI, and R if possible. Microsoft project management tools a plus (planner, project, etc.)
  • Knowledge of public health frameworks, applied research techniques including model building, quantification and measurement, and hypothesis generation
  • Proficiency in database management systems like SQL and data visualization tools.
  • Knowledge of programming languages.
  • Ability to write and explain the application of quantitative tools to help program management.
  • Telephone, computer, copier, printer, scanner, fax, shredder, and various software programs Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook Required
