Job Title: Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Technician - Cardiopulmonary Lab

Location: Nellis AFB, NV 89191

Shift: Monday - Friday, between 0600 - 1630

Duration: Long-term


Role & Responsibilities:

  • Seeking an experienced Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Technician to support clinical operations. The technician will assist with cardiac catheterization lab procedures, interventional radiology, and vascular surgery angiography, and support related service areas as needed.
  • Set up and assist with cardiac catheterization, interventional radiology, and vascular angiography procedures.
  • Support physicians during procedures and help train new technicians.
  • Maintain, clean, and restock lab supplies and equipment; report issues promptly.
  • Prepare and administer medications, including IV drips and push drugs (e.g., sedatives, vasopressors, narcotics).
  • Monitor and assess patient responses to medications and procedures; take action as needed.
  • Conduct patient education, pre-op, and post-op briefings.
  • Accurately document patient care and procedures using approved formats and terminology.
  • Act as shift lead technician when designated, ensuring safety and completion of routine tasks.
  • Float to other departments (e.g., Cardiopulmonary Clinic, PACU, GI Suite) as needed within scope of practice.


Qualifications:

  • Education: Completion of an accredited Registered Cardiovascular Technician (RCVT) program.
  • Experience: Minimum of 4 years of full-time (36+ hrs/week) professional experience in a Cardiac Catheterization Lab within the last 5 years.


Certifications:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) - Required
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - Required
  • Certifications must be from the American Heart Association or equivalent. Online/computer-based training is not accepted. Must be current on Day 1.
