Needs someone with strong PLC Troubleshooting experience. This person must be self motivated as this is the only maintenance technician in the facility, they will eventually oversee both facilities and possibly two additional tech's with the growth plan for 2026. Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and repair PLC-controlled systems, including Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Omron, or similar platforms.
- Conduct preventive maintenance on electrical and mechanical components of automated machinery.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, ladder logic, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Modify and update PLC programs to improve machine efficiency and accommodate process changes.
- Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to implement process improvements and upgrades.
- Monitor system performance and log maintenance activities.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Train operators or junior technicians on equipment handling and basic troubleshooting.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree or technical diploma in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation, Mechatronics, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience working with PLCs in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
- Hands-on experience with at least one major PLC brand (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi, etc.).
- Strong understanding of industrial control systems, sensors, HMIs, VFDs, and motor controls.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, or on-call as needed.
- Forklift Experience
Preferred Skills (Optional):
- Experience with SCADA systems or HMI programming.
- Knowledge of Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus, or other communication protocols.
- Understanding of robotics or automated conveyor systems.
- Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
Work Environment:
- Industrial or manufacturing environment.
- May require standing for long periods, working at heights, or in confined spaces.
- Use of hand tools, test equipment, and personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
