Position Summary

We are seeking a Receptionist who is customer service driven, experienced, and reliable to join our team, officing out of Aeon's Central Office in the North Loop of Minneapolis. This talented, motivated and energetic professional will deliver a high level of customer service and will be regarded as the "Director of First Impressions" to our residents, staff, housing applicants, funders and vendors. The Receptionist will enjoy working with diverse communities, providing wide-ranging general office and HR support with a variety of administrative activities and related tasks in a busy office environment. This position will report to the IT Manager.

Skills & Qualifications



  • Minimum of two recent and consecutive years of customer service, receptionist, or administrative support experience.
  • Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communication skills with exceptional phone etiquette.
  • Must have the demonstrated ability to engage in interpersonal communication that is culturally responsive, ensuring consideration for differing needs and expectations.
  • Must demonstrate poise, tact and diplomacy with a strong focus on delivering excellence in customer service to internal and external persons.
  • Intermediate computer skills including Internet, Microsoft Office and Outlook -database experience is helpful.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform detailed work with a high level of accuracy.
  • Independent judgment to plan and prioritize multiple requests and execute a diverse workload.
  • Ability to apply effective time management and self-management skills in a busy work environment; ability to meet deadlines in the face of regular interruptions.
  • Solid and proven work ethic with the ability to work independently and on a team.
  • Outstanding organizational skills.
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems effectively.
  • Experience managing office equipment a plus.
  • Must have a commitment to learning and participating in Aeon's diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts.
  • Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to lift up to 10lbs.
    • Ability to reach above and below the shoulder height.
    • Ability to sit and stand for extended periods.
    • Ability to file documents and enter data for extended periods.





Compensation, Hours & Location

This position has a range of pay of $20-$22/hr, depending on experience and skillset. Aeon offers an impressive benefit package that includes medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability, retirement plan, generous paid time off and an employee assistance program.

This full-time position offers mostly Monday-Friday, daytime hours. Typical work schedules are 8:30am-5pm. Variations to this schedule may occur given the needs of the position.

This is an in-person position and will office out of Aeon's Central Office in the North Loop of Minneapolis, MN. As such, candidates must either currently reside in and around the Twin Cities metro area, or plan to relocate prior to a start date with Aeon.
