Job Title : Network Administrator II
Location: 2001 Brainerd Street Fort Huachuca, Arizona 85613
Clearance Level: Active DoD - Secret

SUMMARY
Testing of all Defense Red Switch Network (DRSN) related hardware (HW) and software (SW) prior to fielding. The DRSN provides multiple levels of secure telecommunications for Command and Control (C2) crisis management. The mission of the DRSN is to provide secure voice and voice conferencing requirements to senior Department of Defense (DoD) and civil and Allied decision makers within the user community. The DRSN user community consists of, but is not limited to, the National Military Command Center (NMCC), the Airborne Command Post, the Combatant Commanders, military departments, and Allies of the United States. All testing is conducted at the JITC DRSN T&E and Training Facility.
Establishes, configures, maintains, and supports internal and/or external networks for the organization. Develops and maintains all systems, applications, security, and network configurations. Conducts network capacity and performance analysis. Recommends upgrades, patches, and new applications and equipment. Directs and supports activities of the network control function of the organization. Determines service quality levels for network transmission and performance and ensures the established levels are met. Troubleshoots network performance issues and recommends corrective actions. Identifies and resolves problems associated with server hardware/software and ensures scalability and appropriate integration with other systems. Provides technical support and guidance to network users. Optimizes the functionality of networks and systems, and diagnoses and recovers failed systems. Ensures appropriate network security measures are in place. Responsible for backup or recovery procedures. Creates and maintains a disaster recovery plan. May be responsible for directing the work of system administrators who provide the day-to-day system administration to include system and resource optimization, and user assistance.

* Typically reports to a project leader, supervisor, or manager.
* Must be adept at problem solving, identifying risk, and communicating results and recommendations to department management.
QUALIFICATIONS Required Certifications
* SEC+
Education, Background, and Years of Experience
* Requires a Bachelor's degree; or an Associate's degree with at least 2 years of experience; or at least 60 semester hours of formal education working towards an Associate's or Bachelor's degree and at least 4 years of experience; or 6 years of experience.
* Additional certifications (other than those required for the position) in the area of specialization be substituted for experience but varies by certification.
* The degree must be in a relevant technical curriculum and experience must be related to the job duties.

WORKING CONDITIONS Environmental Conditions
* Contractor site with 0%-10% travel possible. Possible off-hours work to support releases and outages. General office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require standing and walking for up to 10% of the time. The working environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are not hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available.

* Medium - 50 lbs. Maximum lifting with frequent lift/carry up to 25 lbs.
