We are seeking a highly motivated OT/ICS Cybersecurity Consultant (2+ years) to join our team in our Raleigh office. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in computer science, cybersecurity, or physical security, along with hands-on experience supporting or implementing security solutions. This role offers the opportunity to build your expertise in Operational Technology (OT) and Industrial Control Systems (ICS) cybersecurity while working alongside experienced consultants and engineers. The OT/ICS Cybersecurity Consultant will be responsible for assessing clients' OT/ICS cybersecurity needs, developing customized security strategies and solutions, and providing expert guidance and support to ensure the protection of sensitive information and assets from cyber and physical threats.

Qualifications

Requirements Include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • Higher Degree such as Masters or Ph.D. (preferred, but not required)
  • Candidates should hold or be working toward industry-recognized certifications (e.g., Security+, CySA+, CCNP Security, GICSP, CISSP, CISM). Successful hires will be expected to achieve relevant DoD 8570/8140 certifications within 12 months, with company-approved exam preparation.
  • 2+ years of professional experience in cybersecurity, IT, physical security, or related technical areas.
  • Foundational knowledge of cybersecurity principles, practices, methodologies, and technologies.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory compliance requirements such as NIST SP 800.
  • Exposure to Facility-Related Control Systems (FRCS) as defined in UFC 4-010-06 (preferred but not required).
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with technical and non-technical clients, stakeholders, and team members.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality in handling sensitive information and data.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct OT/ICS cybersecurity assessments to identify vulnerabilities, risks, and compliance gaps.
  • Analyze existing security measures and recommend improvements for ICS/SCADA and OT networks.
  • Develop and document customized cybersecurity strategies tailored to client needs.
  • Provide recommendations on OT/ICS cybersecurity best practices, risk management, and mitigation.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and client stakeholders to support security solution implementation.
  • Support the design and development of internal tools and scripts to improve cyber and physical security assessment workflows and reporting.
  • Contribute to testing and improvement of in-house cybersecurity platforms.
  • Document internal processes, scripts, and tools to support knowledge sharing across the team.
  • Stay current with emerging cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices.
  • Travel may be required depending on client needs.
