Job Description

The University of Missouri Research Reactor (MURR) is seeking a System Support Analyst to support our growing user base by providing exceptional Tier 1 support.

MURR is unique in that there isn't always a cookie cutter solution to every problem. Having the ability to use creative thinking by applying on the spot solutions will help you stand out as a candidate.

The ideal applicant will have experience in a wide range of technical experience, varying from basic hardware and software support, to configuring permissions in Active Directory and the File Server system, with everything in between.

Primary role and responsibilities include:
* Provide end user hardware device support for computer systems, including PC, Mac, Linux, and mobile device operating systems and application programs.
* Install, configure, and upgrade end user software and maintain device hardware and operating systems. This includes providing specialized support for MURR specific software as well as University approved applications.
* Collaborate with fellow MURR IT Team members, escalating problems when needed.

Focus on high-level, professional customer service by:
* Providing training to faculty, staff, and students in the use of operating system software, supported device software. Working with this user base to identify bottlenecks in processes and eliminate those barriers.
* Serve administrative duties by: creating, planning, and testing various solutions to better serve users needs.
* Consult with users regarding commercially available software, site-licensed software, or applications. Maintain advanced knowledge of new products, upgrades, and technologies.
* Maintain strong relationships with all functional groups at MURR.

MURR is more than just a nuclear reactor - it is a special place where life-saving radioisotopes are being produced each day.

This position is considered 100% in office, though some remote work is available depending on circumstances.

Shift

Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm

Minimum Qualifications

High School diploma required. Minimum 1-2 Years of Higher Education experience. Expansive knowledge of device/workstation hardware/software/operating systems.

Preferred Qualifications

Windows, MAC, SCCM, and Active Directory skills are a plus.

Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary Range: $16.00 - $23.00 Commensurate with experience $16.00 - $23.00 Commensurate with experience
