Summary:
The Maintenance Technician, under the supervision of the Maintenance Manager, is responsible for the maintenance and repair of buildings throughout the campus, grounds, and equipment. This position also handles preventative maintenance and repairs for a wide range of hospital equipment and utility systems, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, light construction, painting, and grounds keeping.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Routine facility maintenance, including plumbing, mechanical, electrical, carpentry, and painting.
- Conduct scheduled safety checks, inspections, and facility walk-throughs.
- Respond to work orders and/or projects, and records completion of work order and any changes in work performed.
- Identifies and communicates potential issues related to services and equipment to appropriate leader/department.
- Participates in the development of departmental safety procedures, in coordination with Maintenance Manager
- Maintain records of facility in compliance with all regulatory agencies providing oversight including local, state, and federal agencies relating to facility maintenance systems.
- Reports on monthly department service metrics, providing supporting detail to Environmental Services leadership team when needed.
- Perform groundskeeping duties, which includes work during inclement weather and other staffing emergencies.
- Participates in scheduled On Call, Weekend and Holiday coverage as part of a regular rotation.

Physical Requirements:
- Significant amount of walking, bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling for both momentary and prolonged periods.
- Lifting/exerting up to 50 lbs.
- Close vision and the ability to adjust focus,
- Routine exposure to heat, cold, loud noise, restricted space, and moving parts,
- Ability to hear overhead pages, work on ladders, scaffolds and be able to sit, stand and walk for momentary to extended periods of time.

Requirements/Experience:
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Minimum of four (4) years' experience in facility maintenance, preventative maintenance, equipment and systems repair.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience of safety codes, regulation, and management of process
- Current license in one or more of the following: HVAC, plumbing, and/or electrical, preferred.
- Valid driver's license. Must be insurable by Rogers Behavioral Health.
