Director, Community Education

This is an on-campus position and some travel is required within our 11 county service area.

Job Summary: This position is responsible for the overall management and leadership of the Community and Adult Education team, including alternative programs for high school credentialing, the administration and oversight of noncredit workforce experiences for English language learners, and community education programming. The position works closely and efficiently with a variety of community and internal partners to facilitate the development, implementation, delivery, and evaluation of assigned and new programing; on the hiring, staffing, supervision, and evaluation of staff and instructors; and to ensure the sustainability of programs within the unit. This position is responsible for revenue generation including through the submission of internal and external grant applications.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree and 5 years experience relevant experience in Adult Basic Education.

Licensing Requirements:

Valid driver's license

Hiring Range: $70,400-$88,000

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with adult basic education and career and community programs
Proficiency in a second language (Spanish preferred)

• Leads and plans projects and resources to ensure consistent program administration to meet the needs of the college and community - (Essential)

• Leads the researching, planning, implementation, and evaluation of programs and manages the performance of the unit to ensure delivery of high quality programs according to scope, time, and budget - (Essential)
• Makes recommendations for the creation of budgets, monitors revenue and expenses - (Essential)
• Supervises, hires, trains, and evaluates employees. Provides leadership, mentoring and performance management, ensuring appropriate assignments, cross-training, and backup of essential functions - (Essential)
• Plans and allocates resources and work assignments according to priorities. - (Essential)
• Travels to other campuses and off-site locations as needed - (Essential)
• Must have a dedicated high speed connection for connection to the college's resources remotely when needed - (Essential)
• Establishes and develops educational and training programs in collaboration with external partners, including identifying partner needs, designing program content, coordinating implementation, and assessing outcomes. - (Essential)
