Digital Communications Specialist

We are seeking a highly experienced and creative Digital Communications Specialist to lead the strategy, design, development, and delivery of digital outreach campaigns for a federal client. This role is responsible for managing both the creative outputs and the processes needed to deliver high-impact digital content across multiple platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in digital media, web communications, and strategic content development, with over 8 years of professional experience in communications or related fields.

Essential Duties:



  • Develop and implement digital communication and social media strategies that align with the federal client's goals and mission.
  • Manage and grow digital presence across major platforms such as X, Facebook, LinkedIn, and others.
  • Analyze and report on social media metrics using social media listening tools and monitoring; provide recommendations on improvements.
  • Design, create, and publish compelling content for web platforms and social media channels. Ability to take complex and technical topics and simplify to understanding for various targeted audiences
  • Provide strategic direction to ensure consistent and impactful messaging across all digital communications.
  • Work across federal departments to create important messaging and content.
  • Support content development for public and internal websites, including news updates, features, and announcements.
  • Create multimedia content for social media assets.
  • Support broader government or organizational initiatives.


Required Qualifications



  • B.A./B.S in relevant field
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in digital communications, strategic communications, or a related field.
  • Proven expertise in developing and executing digital communication strategies.
  • Background in analytics and performance measurement for digital campaigns.
  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills for web and social media content.
  • Proficiency with social media management tools and content creation platforms.
  • Familiarity with multimedia content production including audio, video, and graphic design.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels.
