Utz is pleased to announce an opportunity for students to join the Procurement team as a Procurement Intern at our State College, PA or Hanover, PA office. Utz Quality Foods is seeking a Procurement Intern. This position is responsible for assisting with Procurement Systems development and assisting Procurement leaders with various projects. The role works collaboratively with all levels in procurement along with key stakeholders cross functionally.

Key Responsibilities



  • Assist with request for proposals
  • Input data such as purchase orders into Utz system
  • Create and test reports for Procurement
  • Assist with procurement system projects
  • Track and report on key metrics to reduce waste and improve procurement
  • Communicate pending tasks to suppliers and internal customers
  • Identify plant consumption needs and trends and place orders to procure those material.
  • Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand
  • Coordinate and monitor raw material inventories with UTZ manufacturing, co-packers, and suppliers
  • Make purchase decisions in accordance with company procedures and regulations


Job Requirements



  • Excellent technical, interpersonal & analytical skills.
  • Comfortable in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proven time management, priority setting & organizational skills.
  • Proficient in MS Suite, including Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint.
