Civil Engineer (1-5 years)

Coffman Engineers is seeking a highly skilled, self-motivatedCivil Engineerwith one (1) to five (5) years of experience providing comprehensive civil engineering services, from initial feasibility through design, permitting and construction support for our Bay Area office. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, have a desire to work and grow with a multidiscipline engineering team, and be willing to have fun.

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an accredited university
• Registration as an E.I.T. or P.E. highly preferred
• 1-5 years of experience in civil design, land development, grading, drainage, site utilities, and storm water compliance
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or AutoCAD
• Experience in a multi-discipline setting preferred
• The ability to work on multiple tasks
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Team player with the ability to think critically and solve problems
• The motivation to learn the latest technologies and practices to enhance your professional career

The position will involve a mix of technical design and consulting, construction support, and new project scoping and proposal writing. We work in tight-knit teams that support each other and are managed with a healthy work-life balance that is focused on development and caring for the whole person.

The position is hybrid where the staff are in-person three days a week (minimum) and have the option to work remotely two days a week. The optional remote workdays of the week are currently Monday and Friday. These guidelines are reassessed periodically.

Compensation and Benefits

• Approximate Base Salary - $74k-100k based on experience
• Paid overtime at 1.0 times hourly rate
• Competitive end of year discretionary bonus based on company/team/personal performance
• Hybrid Work Schedule(subject to change)
• 401k with maximum of 5% Contribution Matching for 9% Employee Contribution
