Job Description:
The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for: -
Maintain a high-quality relationship with the manufacturing team they are supporting
- Support manufacturing Build in Quality initiative by providing a last line of defense inspection of the product for their area
- Execute product and process validation / inspection plans
- Identify and contain suspect defective material
- Have the potential to utilize advanced metrology equipment to control processes and identify defects
- Inspect, test or measure components, products and materials being produced.
- Initiate and participate in quality related continuous improvement (Kaizen) projects
- Develop, maintain, and improve the quality culture within responsible area
- May perform other duties as assigned Potential business travel to support product /process development at company

Qualifications:

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Manufacturing/assembly/quality process and/or automotive repair and/or mechanical experience (+2 years preferred)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Pre-production vehicles and High volume manufacturing experience
- Problem solving experience
- continuous improvement process experience
- Electrical vehicles features knowledge
- Customer quality expectations understanding
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Knowledge of statistical process control / control charts High school education or equivalent (Bachelor Degree preferred); 2+ years of manufacturing, assembly, or quality experience.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to communicate in a high-pressure environment.
