The HRIT team at Koch Technology is a dynamic and collaborative group committed to delivering innovative Human Resources IT solutions that empower our people and business partners. Our team plays a vital role in integrating and supporting HR technologies that streamline processes and enhance the employee experience across Koch.

As part of the HRIT team, you'll work alongside skilled professionals dedicated to continuous improvement and operational excellence. We focus on leveraging data and technology to drive impactful HR service delivery, including automation and seamless system integrations. Our team values curiosity, collaboration, and a growth mindset, creating an environment where co-ops and full-time members alike can learn, contribute, and grow.

What You Will Do

  • Assist in developing, configuring, and maintaining integrations between payroll and third-party applications (payroll, benefits, finance, timekeeping, etc.).
  • Support data mapping, transformation, and validation to ensure accuracy across integrated systems.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers to troubleshoot integration issues and perform root cause analysis.
  • Participate in testing cycles (unit testing, end-to-end testing, regression testing) for new or updated integrations.
  • Document integration designs, workflows, and support procedures.
  • Gain hands-on experience with APIs, web services, SFTP, XML, and JSON used in payroll integrations.
  • Partner with HR, Payroll, and IT teams to ensure smooth and accurate data flow between systems.
  • Contribute to process improvement by identifying automation or efficiency opportunities.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Currently enrolled in a degree program related to one of the following areas: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related IT field
  • Eligible for full-time employment by August 2027
  • Curiosity to learn about HR systems and enterprise integrations
  • Initiative, natural curiosity, strong communication skills, and an aptitude for fast-paced learning
  • Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a Visa transfer or Visa sponsorship

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Basic knowledge of data integration concepts (ETL, APIs, file transfers).
  • Familiarity with one or more programming or scripting languages (i.e., SQL, Python, Java, C#)
